Freezer Meat Loaf

Freezer Meat Loaf
2 meals – 6 servings each

  • ½ cup dry bread crumbs
  • ½ cup milk
  • 1 cup minced onion
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 2 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • ¼ tsp pepper
  • 3 pounds ground beef

To Prepare:

  1. Mix together first 7 ingredients.
  2. Combine thoroughly with ground beef.
  3. Divide in half. Form into two loaves.
  4. Wrap with foil; label and freeze.

To Serve:

  1. Thaw completely; unwrap.
  2. Place in loaf pan.
  3. Bake at 350 degrees for 2½ hours, or until done.
  4. Drain fat.
  5. Serve sliced with brown gravy or catsup.

(This recipe can also be used to make meatballs. Cook meatballs before freezing.)

Your recipe says to “…Mix together first 7 ingredients”. Your 8th ingredient is “3 pounds ground beef “. What do you do with the meat?

This sounds good. I have some frozen meatballs with Italian seasonings and am not sure what I want to do with them. Any ideas?


Besides the obvious “throw them in spaghetti sauce” answer, I like to use meatballs in meatball sanwiches. Just slice open a dinner roll or sandwich roll, heat up the meatballs and some marinara or spaghetti sauce, place the warm meatballs on the sandwich roll, put on some thinly sliced or shredded mozzarella cheese, maybe a sprinkle or two of parmesan, pour on some sauce … and enjoy. 🙂
